TL;DR : The Short Version
We collect nothing. Zero data leaves your browser. All preferences are stored locally. No analytics, no tracking, no telemetry, no network requests. Your privacy is absolute.

No CC does not collect any data. We have designed this extension with privacy as the core principle. There is no data collection of any kind.
- No personal information : we don't know who you are
- No browsing history : we don't track what you watch
- No analytics : we don't measure anything
- No cookies : none, zero, zilch
02Local Storage
The extension stores your preferences (enabled/disabled state) locally in your browser's storage API. This data:
- Never leaves your device
- Is not synced to any server
- Is deleted when you uninstall the extension
- Only contains a single boolean value (on/off)
03Network Requests
No CC makes zero network requests. The extension operates entirely offline. It does not connect to any servers, APIs, or external services.
04Permissions Explained
The extension requests minimal permissions, only what's necessary for core functionality:
*://*.youtube.com/*Access to YouTube pages only : required to detect and hide caption elements on YouTube videos, shorts, and homepage previews.
storageLocal storage access : required to save your on/off preference so it persists between browser sessions.
05Third Parties
We do not share any data with third parties because we don't collect any data. There's nothing to share.

06Open Source Transparency
No CC is 100% open source under the MIT license. You don't have to trust us : you can verify everything yourself.
