1. Zero Data Collection & Harvesting
Our extension, "Home - Minimalist Startpage", is designed with a strict privacy-first architecture. We do not collect, store, track, sell, or transmit any user data. All configurations, folder settings, and preference states are processed and kept 100% locally on your computer.
2. Bookmarks Integration & Storage Access
The extension requests standard browser permissions to read your local Bookmarks tree. This is necessary to display your bookmark folders on the startpage grid.
This bookmark indexing happens strictly client-side on your device. Bookmarks are never sent to external servers or shared with any third parties.
3. Search & AI Hub Queries
When you submit a query using the central search bar or click on one of the AI shortcuts (Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, Grok), the query is forwarded directly from your browser to the respective external provider. We do not intermediate, monitor, redirect, or log any of your search queries.
4. Third-Party Links & Engines
When searching or using external AI endpoints, you are subject to the terms and privacy practices of those third-party providers (e.g. Google LLC, OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI). We encourage you to review their policies.
